Welcome to Dayspring. By downloading, installing, or using the Dayspring mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Dayspring provides daily Bible verses, reflections, and journaling tools for personal spiritual growth. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content
  • Use automated systems to access the App in ways that exceed reasonable use

2. Accounts

You may create an account using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Dayspring offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store according to the plan you select:

  • Premium: $1.99/month — AI reflections, journaling, and reading streaks
  • Premium + Voice: $6.99/month — All Premium features plus voice journal input

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

All content provided through the App — including Bible verse selections, historical context, reflections, and design elements — is owned by Dayspring or used under license. Scripture texts are used in accordance with applicable translation permissions.

Your journal entries remain your property. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your entries solely to provide the App's features (including AI-powered reflections).

5. AI-Generated Content

Dayspring uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized reflections and insights. AI-generated content is provided for inspirational and educational purposes only and should not be considered professional theological, medical, or psychological advice.

6. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Dayspring is a devotional tool and does not replace professional counseling, therapy, or pastoral guidance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dayspring and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
